Al-hoceima , Morocco : Apple unveils the MacBook Neo, a new budget laptop starting at $599
◾ This move aims to expand Apple’s reach in the price-sensitive PC market as competitors face chip shortages, according to Reuters
◾ The new device is one of Apple’s strongest attempts to compete in the PC market in years. The MacBook Neo will run on the A18 Pro chip, the same processor first seen in the iPhone 16 Pro models produced by the company in 2024
◾ The MacBook Neo directly targets users of Chromebooks running Google’s system and lower-priced Windows devices
◾ Amid a global chip shortage, the MacBook Neo comes with only 8GB of unified memory, half of the 16GB in the M4 MacBook and less than the 12GB in the iPhone 17 Pro
