Request a Free ZNC Account

1. Connect to the IRC Network

Use our Webchat or your favorite IRC client to connect:

• Server: irc.skychatz.org
• Port: 7000
• SSL Port: 6697
• mIRC Example: /server -m irc.skychatz.org

Then join one of the following channels:

• /join #ZNC
• /join #FreeZNC

2. Register Your Nickname

Use NickServ to register your nickname:

Check your email for the passcode, then confirm:

3. Request a ZNC Account

Send the following command to the service bot in #ZNC or #FreeZNC:

Note: [Port] and [vhost] are optional. Use [+] before port for SSL.

Examples:

• SSL: !request sky@example.com SkyChatz irc.SkyChatz.Org:+6697
• Non-SSL with vhost: !request sky@example.com SkyChatz irc.skychatz.org:6667 my.custom.vhost

4. Keep Your ZNC Account Alive

To prevent your account from being removed due to inactivity, send this command to the service bot:

Join the channel #ZNC or #FreeZNC and type:

Note: The !keep command must be sent in #znc or #freeznc.
